Truck Stuck Under Napier Street, Footscray Bridge

A truck recently collided with Melbourne’s, Napier Street, Footscray bridge after the driver failed to negotiate the 4m high rail bridge.

The truck was traveling near McNab Avenue when the shipping container his truck was carrying struck the bottom of the overpass and dislodged from the semi-trailer bringing chaos to the roads.

Traffic was brought to a standstill as lanes had to be closed by VicRoads.

In February, the same bridge was revealed as the worst spot in Melbourne for truck crashes. Over the past 5 years there were 41 incidents at the same spot.
