Transport Company Facing $690,000 Lawsuit
A large Queensland based transport company is being sued by an employee who says the company encouraged him and other drivers to breach fatigue management laws.
The former employee has brought a nearly $690,000 suit against the company and filed for damages due to health issues including injuries and depression.
The man is seeking medical expenses, compensation for the loss of past and future income as well as interest. He is also seeking superannuation for breach of contract and negligence by the company.
The company owner apparently encourages drivers to drive for up to 14 hours daily.
This is the employee’s second case against the company.
