Stuck Oversized Truck Lands Driver a Fine

The driver of an oversized truck that became stuck and caused huge traffic delays at Wolloomooloo has been issued 2 infringement notices.
The truck measuring over 18 meters in length became stuck after trying to turn right into Sir John Young Cresent on Tuesday February 23rd, 2016, just after 9am.
Despite signs stating that vehicles over 12 metres long were required to take a detour, the driver attempted to turn, contrary to the signs.
The truck became stuck and caused significant traffic delays whilst the driver attempted to move the truck. The truck eventually took the detour and drove away.
Police warned that they would target those who cause disrupture to roadusers by disobeying over-height and oversize warning.
