State’s Corruption and Crime Commission Probes Training Organisation

Western Australia’s Department of Transport (DOT) is in the process of cancelling 326 licenses following its licensing debacle involving a training organisation.

According to an article on Fullyloaded.com.au a northern Perth registered training organisation is at the centre of controversy after supposedly supplying heavy vehicle licenses without conducting the proper assessments, including assessments for road trains.

The investigation revealed that 326 people are unlikely to have passed the assessment to the required standard.

Authorities say licenses have been suspended in the interests of public safety. People who want to regain their licenses have been offered a free Practical Driving Assessment with DoT to prove their knowledge of road traffic laws and ability to drive safely.
