Scrap Metal Truck Rolls on Melbourne Freeway
A truck driver recently lost control of his semi-trailer on one of Melbourne’s busiest roads, flipping over a concrete barrier, causing his load of scrap metal to spill across the freeway.
Traffic was in chaos as the recycling truck with it’s trailer full of scrap metal overturned on Western Ring Road.
The truck driver said he did not roll onto the blue Ford sedan however it was wedged under his truck. The truck remained on its side for approximately 25 minutes. The driver said the car drove underneath and smashed into his already flipped truck.
A burst trye on the truck was believed to have caused the vehicle to flip.
