Over 600 Speeding Road Users Nabbed by New Trailer Cameras

According to police, new QPS trailer speed cameras have detected 647 speeding motorists across South East Queensland in its first 3 weeks.

Five camera trailers were launched as part of the Christmas Road Safety Campaign on the busiest roads in Queensland on 23 December 2016.

The cameras are remotely managed and monitored more than 2.8 million vehicles at the various high risk locations where they were launched.

The cameras were proven effective in their initial weeks of operation and were particularly useful in targeting speeding motorists in locations where police intervention was limited in the past.
