NHVR Still Believes in its Livestock Transport Fatigue Scheme
The NHVR has reiterated its belief in its Livestock Transport Fatigue Scheme, despite critism from expert, Professor Ann Williamson.
The professor expressed concern with the scheme saying it allowed drivers to work for too long and didn’t include measures to ensure they rested adequately.
The NHVR Executive director of productivity and safety, Geoff Casey said the group had considered the advice of fatigue management experts during the development of the scheme.
