Mitchell Highway Pileup Lands Three People in Hospital
A collision has taken place between a car and 3 trucks on the Mitchell Highway, which resulted in the closure of the road in both directions.
It was a miracle that no lives were lost during the incident which happened shortly before 8am.
An elderly couple in their seventies were turning right out of a driveway towards Orange when a flatbed truck heading west collided into the back of their tiny car.
The truck was then clipped by a navy Suzuki Vitara also travelling west. Another flatbed truck carrying logs clipped the car and the first truck.
Fog and wet roads may have been a factor in the crash, serving as a reminder to other drivers to be cautious when driving in such conditions.
