Hays Sees High Demand for Transport and Logistics Workers
According to Hays, intelligent transport and logistics workers with multiple skills and flexibility are in high demand in Australia.
The group recently released its ‘Hotspots of skills in demand’ report for the first half of the year and says employers want people with a wide set of technical skills. People with strong knowledge of systems and processes and a history of reducing cost are in high demand, Hays said.
The top of the list are transport allocators, especially in eastern states with heavy duty truck driving experience.
Also in high demand are experienced transport supervisors and managers who can lead operations.
Hays said casual HR drivers as well as MC drivers with a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) card are also needed.
