Government Should Invest More in WA and NT Infrastructure, Industry Bodies Find

According to the Northern Territory Road Transport Association (NTRTA) and the Western Australian Road Transport Association (WARTA), while the promise of investment by the federal government to improve road infrastructure is welcomed, more is needed to improve roads in the region.

The federal government has committed $360 million on road infrastructure projects in WA,NT and Queensland, in partnership with the government’s of these states.

But the NTRTA is disappointed that the calls to reduce the number of single lane bridges on the Great Northern Highway have been ignored.
