Fatigue Management a Crucial Issue Addressed by The ATA
The ATA is showing it’s commitment to addressing the fatigue management issue in trucking by hosting a fatigue-focused program titled ‘FatigueHACK’ which will form part of its Trucking Australia conference in April.
The ATA plans to attract software developers, designers, industry experts, researchers, regulators and truck drivers to the conference to create new technologies to alter the way we currently manage driver fatigue.
The ATA aims to improve fatigue management by providing this fatigue management system through voluntary use of technology to improve road safety and enhance productivity in the industry. The association believes that a tech solution is necessary to help drivers manage their own personal fatigue as a voluntary alternative to the current method of written work diaries.
