Driver Injured After Being Pinned Under Delivery Truck
Truck drivers have been reminded to take care when loading and unloading by an incident which happened in Tasmania recently.
A truck driver was pinned under his vehicle when it rolled at a private property at Buckland.
It is believed the man was delivering gravel at the time when the truck lost traction due to rain, hit into a bank and rolled.
The 66 year old truck driver was lucky to remain uninjured and conscious throughout the incident, as emergency crews worked to cut him out of the vehicle.
Police said the truck was on its roof and had diesel flowing into the cabin when they found it.
Emergency crews spent 2 hours cutting through the truck and transported the man to hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
He did not sustain any serious injuries. Source: http://www.themercury.com.au/news/tasmania/a-man-has-become-pinned-under-a-truck-at-buckland/news-story/9dbf87a3b19e551847fd115e4590bf38
