Truck Fire Closes Brisbane Highway

A truck crash south of Brisbane resulted in the deaths of 3 people and caused major delays to traffic.

Shortly afterwards 2 other people were killed in a crash near Bundaberg.

A man was killed in a crash on the Bruce Highway near Bowen.

The 47 year old man died in a truck rollover incident near Big Jack Creek.

The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating the scene of the crash which resulted in major traffic delays.

There were reports that a driver lost control of a semi-trailer before it caught alight in yet another incident on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Drewvale.

The truck was completely engulfed in flames which took fire crews several hours to extinguish. One person was injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
