NTC Boss Calls for Single System to Avoid Duplication
The National Transport Commission (NTC) through its chief executive, Paul Retter has highlighted the need to introduce a single system to avoid duplication in Australian heavy vehicle accreditation.
Mr Retter was recently responding to the NHVR’s announcement of an expert probe on competing schemes, including its own.
The announcement by the NHVR was welcomed by Retter, who said this is an opportunity to ensure heavy vehicle accreditation scheme arrangements are based on international standards and Australia ‘best practice’ guidelines, avoiding unnecessary duplication.
